Surplus lines insurance impacts those risks that do not meet standard or admitted underwriting criteria for admitted carriers. At Commonwealth Insurance Partners, LLC we have the ability to accommodate a wide variety of risks, our surplus lines market acts as an effective supplement to the admitted market.

Risks typically written in the surplus lines market fall into three basic categories: (1) non-standard risks, which have unusual underwriting characteristics; (2) unique risks for which admitted carriers do not offer a filed policy form or rate; and (3) capacity risks where an insured seeks a higher level of coverage than most insurers are willing to provide.

We can place a large variety of risks. We specialize in placing non-traditional, hard-to-place accounts. The credibility and expertise of our brokerage staff allows us to approach the necessary markets to place any risk and negotiate the best terms and pricing for our agents and brokers and their clients.
